Paradise Fish Shop is a twenty-seat fish and chip shop a short walk from North Burleigh Beach, run by Jason and Josie Barratt. It's our take on the Friday-night fish and chip ritual most Australians grew up with. After years as executive chef at Paper Daisy at Halcyon House, Rae's on Wategos and Supernormal Brisbane, and founding Hector's Deli in Melbourne, Jason is back on the coast with his family of four, cooking the kind of food they'd happily queue up for. Our seafood is sustainably sourced from fishers along Australia's east coast and battered by hand to order. Our potatoes come direct from a grower in Gippsland and are cut on site every day, and our dim sims and sauces are all made in-house. The name looks back to an earlier Gold Coast, when local motels, shops and attractions proudly carried the word Paradise. Orders are taken in-store only.
